The Delhi High Court on Wednesday said that it will hear the batch of matters challenging the Central government’s Agneepath scheme on August 25.
The petitions in the Agneepath scheme, which proposes to induct youth into the Army for four years, have been clubbed by the Division Bench of Chief Justice Satish Chandra Sharma and Justice Subramonium Prasad.
The Delhi High Court has three matters pertaining to the scheme related to recruitment into the armed forces.

The second petition is a public interest litigation (PIL) challenging the Indian Navy’s recruitment process and shortlisting criteria of Person below the rank of Officer .
Another PIL has also been filed seeking directions to the Central government for resuming recruitment in the defence services which was halted due to Agnipath scheme.
The third petition is by a candidate who cleared the physical and medical exams and was eligible for written test but the recruitment process of Agnipath scheme hindered it.
Now as the Apex Court transferred the petitions listed with it and various other High Courts across the country to Delhi, the Delhi HC is likely to have more petitions to come.
